At 12 years old, I was selected for a gifted and talented program that let me take adult summer classes at a community college. I chose three-camera film production. I spent that summer, taking the bus across the city there by myself, to produce, write, direct, and act in a real studio. I was hooked!
That was my inciting incident.
As a guest on Deb Drummond’s podcast, “Mission Accepted,” I share that I have always believed I was born with a mission. But I often wondered what it was, and whether I was “there” yet, while knowing on some level that I was still hitting the rings around the bullseye. But now I can see all those steps gave me the tools I needed for what I’m doing now.
